John R. Celestino, 63, of Lewiston, NY entered into rest on Friday January 26, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of Natalina (Cileone) Celestino and the late Nevio Anthony Celestino.
John was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Philadelphia, PA class of 1978. He then went on to graduate from Temple University in 1982 with a BA in Communications and Advertising. From there, he began a life-long career in the newspaper business. John was director of advertising with Philadelphia Metro from 2000 to 2003. John then worked for The Press of Atlantic City for 12 years in various positions such as director of advertising, vice-president of sales and marketing and director of circulation and audience development. John worked for Brainworks Software for a year as a business development manager and then went to work for CNHI as a regional executive and publisher in New York, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
John loved fishing, going to the beach, boating, and cooking. But most of all his family remembers his true love was his job.
John will be missed and fondly remembered by his children; Julia Celestino, Andrea Celestino, mother; Natalina Celestino, brother; Michael (Natalie) Celestino, sister; Donna (Richard) Rabena and a host of nieces and nephews.
